There are 4 basic types of necros that people make. Although I will briefly discuss all three types here, this guide will teach you to make the most effective one.

OmniMancer - Necro that uses all the necessary skills to be the best necro he can be. This is the most effective necro.

SkeleMancer - Necromancer that raises only skeletons and later, revives. It's pretty effective, but skeletons are too weak to survive in the harder difficulty levels.

GoleMancer - A necro that raises only golems and backs them up with curses and spells. This necro is not very effective and should be used only by experienced players looking for a challenge.

MeleeMancer - Any necro that fights alongside his minions, sacrificing the benefits of a wand for a weapon. This is the worst kind of necro and everyone who makes this kind deserves a beating.
